Alta Cresta Orchard produces premium 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil exclusively from estate grown Italian olive varietals "Under the California Sun". Four Italian olive varietals are grown on the estate: Leccino, Coratina, Frantoio and Pendolino.
Three extra virgin olive oils are produced:
CORATINA - A single varietal made from the Coratina olive native to southern Italy.
TUSCAN BLEND - Made from Frantoio, Leccino and Pendolino olives native to Tuscany.
ITALIAN BLEND - Made from all four Italian varietals.

Yolo County Fair Olive Oil Competition
The Yolo County Fair Olive Oil Competition in its 6th Annual Olive Oil Competition awarded GOLD medals to all three of Alta Cresta Orchard’s 2009 harvest extra virgin olive oils: Italian Blend, Tuscan Blend and Coratina Extra Virgin Olive Oils.
The Yolo County Fair was first held in 1893 and is the oldest and largest free gate fair in California. The olive oil competition is the second largest olive oil competition in the United States. Only the LA County Fair Wine and Olive Oil Competition is larger. The 2010 competition included 113 olive oils from 48 producers. BUY NOW
California Olive Oil Council Second Annual Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition
The California Olive Oil Council in its Second Annual Olive Oil Competition awarded GOLD medals to Alta Cresta Orchard's 2009 Harvest Italian Blend and Tuscan Blend Extra Virgin Olive Oils. The 2009 Harvest Coratina a Single Varietal Extra Virgin Olive Oil received a Silver medal.

In its first year of full production and first competitions Alta Cresta Orchard located in Paso Robles, CA was awarded three medals at the 2009 Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition and three medals at the 2009 California Mid-State Fair Central Coast Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition.
Only olive oils certified to be extra virgin olive oil are accepted for entry in the competitions. All of Alta Cresta Orchard�s olive oil undergoes the rigorous testing of the California Olive Oil Council and is certified to be 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Los Angeles International Olive Oil Competition
The Los Angeles International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition is held annually and attracts competitors from all over the olive growing world. The 2009 competition included 417 extra virgin olive oils from 317 domestic and international producers.
In the light/medium class the CORATINA and ITALIAN BLEND 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oils won Silver. BUY NOW

Mid-State Fair Central Coast Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition
The California Mid-State Fair is held annually in Paso Robles, CA. Paso Robles Wine Country is highly regarded for the production of premium wines and in recent years many outstanding extra virgin olive oils are being produced. In recognition of this for the first time extra virgin olive oil competition joined the wine competition.
Alta Cresta Orchard again received three medals for its extra virgin olive oils.
